Lahore, May 2025 — Chairperson of the Department of Film and Broadcasting at the University of the Punjab, Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer, participated as a distinguished guest speaker in a panel discussion on the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) at the University of Lahore. The event, titled "Demystifying Disinformation: Analysis of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA)," was organized by the School of Integrated Social Sciences (SISS) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The panel brought together experts from academia, media, and government to deliberate on the implications, challenges, and impact of PECA on society, especially in the context of growing disinformation and cybercrime.
